Failed Payment: What Happens and How to Fix It

What happens after a payment fails

When a payment fails, there can be a few follow-up outcomes. Depending on the merchant's business setting with Ezypay, it could be one or a few of the following:

  1. You may receive a Failed Payment Email Notification with a payment recovery link (also known as a PayNow link). You can click on the link and make the payment using a credit/debit card.
  2. If the payment failed due to "Insufficient Funds", there may be an auto-rebill performed by Ezypay, based on the rebill setting set up by the merchant/business. Should you wish to stop the bill, please contact the merchant/business
  3. The merchant may manually retry the payment.
  4. You may contact your merchant to make other arrangements to resolve the outstanding amount.
  5. If no action is taken to recover the payment, the subscription may become inactive, stopping all future payments.

How to fix a failed payment

When a payment fails, there are a few ways to recover or reactivate the billing:

  1. You may use the PayNow link from the Failed Payment Email to make the payment.
  2. You may wait for the scheduled rebill, if any.
  3. The merchant/business may manually retry the payment
  4. You may contact the merchant/business to decide how to settle the outstanding amount.
