What happens after a payment fails
When a payment fails, there can be a few follow-up outcomes. Depending on the merchant's business setting with Ezypay, it could be one or a few of the following:
- You may receive a Failed Payment Email Notification with a payment recovery link (also known as a PayNow link). You can click on the link and make the payment using a credit/debit card.
- If the payment failed due to "Insufficient Funds", there may be an auto-rebill performed by Ezypay, based on the rebill setting set up by the merchant/business. Should you wish to stop the bill, please contact the merchant/business
- The merchant may manually retry the payment.
- You may contact your merchant to make other arrangements to resolve the outstanding amount.
- If no action is taken to recover the payment, the subscription may become inactive, stopping all future payments.
How to fix a failed payment
When a payment fails, there are a few ways to recover or reactivate the billing:
- You may use the PayNow link from the Failed Payment Email to make the payment.
- You may wait for the scheduled rebill, if any.
- The merchant/business may manually retry the payment
- You may contact the merchant/business to decide how to settle the outstanding amount.
