Apple Pay and Google Pay are fast, secure payment methods that allow your customers to pay using their digital wallets. These payment options simplify checkout by automatically populating customer details, reducing friction and improving conversion.
They are supported by Ezypay for both one-off and recurring payments (with some limitations), and transactions are processed securely through our payment partner, Adyen.
Availability depends on your platform integration and location.
1. What are Apple Pay and Google Pay?
- Apple Pay and Google Pay are digital wallet payment methods that allow customers to make payments using saved card details on their devices.
- They provide a faster and more secure checkout experience by eliminating manual card entry.
2. Is Apple Pay / Google Pay available for my business?
- Apple Pay and Google Pay are available if your platform or integration supports these payment methods.
- Currently available for merchants in: Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
3. What types of payments can I accept?
Apple Pay and Google Pay can be used for:
- Checkout payments
- Pay Now payments
- On-demand payments
- Subscription payments (with some limitations)
- They are not available for hosted payment pages.
4. Can I use Apple Pay / Google Pay for subscriptions?
- Yes, subscription payments are supported, but there are some limitations depending on the payment method and issuing bank.
5. Will fees be different from Visa/Mastercard?
- Fees may be the same or different depending on your agreement.
- Pricing is determined between you, your partner/integrator, and the Sales team.
6. How are payments processed?
- Apple Pay and Google Pay securely capture card details and submit them for processing.
- All transactions are processed through Adyen, the same as standard card payments.
7. Are refunds handled differently?
- No. Refunds follow the same process and timelines as standard card payments.
8. Can customers use any card in Apple Pay or Google Pay?
- No. Only Visa and Mastercard linked to their Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet can be used.
9. How do I enable Apple Pay or Google Pay?
- Availability depends on your platform integration.
