What is On-Demand Invoice?

An on-demand invoice (or once-off payment) allows you to collect a one-time payment from a customer outside of their regular subscription billing cycle. This can be used for additional services, product purchases, or any other ad-hoc charges.

Just like subscription payments, on-demand invoices follow the same Failed Payment Settings, meaning any unsuccessful payments will be handled according to your configured retry rules.

Notes on using the once-off payment feature:

  • If a debit fails, it is recommended to write off the once-off payment immediately instead of retrying payment multiple times. This helps prevent the accumulation of Ezypay fees unnecessarily.
  • Any Ezypay fees (transaction fees, load fees, and failed payment fees) incurred on a past due invoice (failed debit) will be allocated to you (the merchant) if the invoice is written off (payment marked as failed, canceled, or removed) by the merchant, any associated fees will be deducted from the merchant’s settlement account.
