Will the RBA interchange fee changes offset my costs?

Not necessarily.

The RBA has announced changes to interchange fee caps; however, interchange is only one component of the total cost of accepting card payments. Other costs, including scheme fees, risk, fraud and infrastructure costs, remain relevant.

Merchants should assess the impact based on their own circumstances and seek independent advice where required.
