GCash Customer Guide

Overview

GCash is a digital wallet payment option that may be available through your business or membership provider. This FAQ answers common questions about linking your GCash account, making payments, refunds, PayNow payments, and managing your GCash payment method.

1. How can I add or change my payment method to GCash?

To add or update your payment method to GCash, please contact the business or organization you are a member of. They will assist you with updating your payment details.

2. When will a refund be reflected in my GCash account?

Refunds processed to GCash are usually reflected instantly or within the same day. Processing times may vary depending on GCash services.

3. Can I use GCash with a PayNow link?

Yes. You can use GCash to settle failed payments through a PayNow link, provided:

  • GCash is already set as your payment method.
  • The GCash payment option is displayed within PayNow.

4. Can I replace the GCash account shown in PayNow with a different GCash account?

Yes. If a GCash payment method is already displayed in PayNow, you can select the existing GCash payment option and link a different GCash account to complete your payment.

5. How can I stop payments from being deducted from my GCash account?

If you no longer wish to use GCash for payments, you will need to contact the business or organization you are a member of and request that your payment method be updated to an alternative payment option.

6. What happens if I unlink my GCash account from Ezypay?

Unlinking your GCash account does not automatically stop payment attempts.

If a scheduled payment is attempted and there is no valid payment method available, the payment may fail and a Failed Payment Fee may be charged in accordance with the merchant's terms and conditions.

7. After unlinking my GCash account, can I re-link it through the GCash mobile app?

No. To re-link your GCash account, you must complete the original sign-up process again, which typically requires scanning the QR code provided by the business.

8. How will I know if a payment has been deducted from my GCash account?

You will receive a notification from GCash whenever a successful deduction is made from your account.

9. Can I use the same GCash account for a family member under the same business?

No. Each GCash account can only be linked to one customer under the same merchant group.

If you attempt to link the same GCash account to another customer within the same merchant group, an error message will be displayed.

However, the same GCash account can be used for another customer if they belong to a different merchant group.

10. Can I pay a failed payment using GCash?

Yes. Failed payments can be settled through PayNow using GCash, provided GCash is already registered as a payment method in the system.

If a GCash payment option is displayed in PayNow, you may also update the linked GCash account and pay using a different GCash ID.
